Trust & safety
The rules that keep the marketplace worth using: what creators can list, how we review it and what happens when something goes wrong.
1. Every upload is reviewed
A working designer checks every product before it goes live for originality, quality, licence compliance and malware. Around a third of submissions go back with notes. We don't accept payment for placement and we don't rank by who pays.
2. What can't be listed
- Assets you didn't make or don't hold the rights to, including remixes of other marketplaces' products.
- AI-generated packs without meaningful human authorship, or anything generated from models trained on scraped Honed Assets assets.
- Fonts, photos or code with third-party licences that don't allow resale.
- Files containing executables, macros, obfuscated scripts or trackers.
- Content that is sexual, hateful, or that depicts real people without a release.
3. Buyer protection
If a file is corrupt, materially different from its listing, or won't download, tell us within 14 days and we will fix it or refund you. Disputes are handled by a human; we never auto-close a ticket.
4. Creator protection
We watermark previews, rate-limit downloads and act on DMCA notices within a business day. Creators see every download and the country it went to, and can flag suspicious patterns from their dashboard.
5. Enforcement
First breach: listing removed with an explanation. Second: shop paused for 30 days. Third, or any deliberate fraud: permanent removal and forfeiture of unpaid earnings tied to the infringing products. Every decision can be appealed to trust@honedassets.com and is reviewed by someone who wasn't involved in the original call.
6. Reporting
Report any asset from its product page, or email trust@honedassets.com. We read every report.
